  First off, I generally don't go here all too often as I personally prefer the atmosphere and service at spill n the beans or another restaurant down the road.
  
  I used to come here occasionally to change things up but something happened recently that I won't ever go again. I bought a pound of their death by coffee blend beans, which I guess is the grind's take on death wish coffee.
  
  Service wasn't great, rude lady with black hair treated my presence as a burden. Dismissive of inquiries about roasts, didn't say much except for how much I owed. Kind've what I've come to expect from the service here, especially on weekends.
  
  The beans themselves were the main problem I had. They are very very bitter, but they do seem highly caffeinated. How I wonder? As a coffee afficionado I can say with certainty that they use robusta beans, which are beans that are very bitter but highly caffeinated and are overall very cheap and gross tasting. I threw them out after a strong cup of the stuff made me sick and I had to clean the container I had them in and my grinder to get the taste out. They should say they use robusta and definitely shouldn't charge as much as they do for this blend.
  
  That all said, why would I come back?

  This is definitely my favorite place downtown to chill with coffee. Quiet, good food and drink. Friendly staff that gets to know its regulars well. I love sitting out by the front window and writing or reading.
